Books with Sami

Sami is conceptual / fine art photographer hailing from Sheffield, England. She works under the moniker Manadh, which means ‘omen’ or ‘good luck’ in Gaelic and everyday since January, 1, 2011 she has taken at least one photograph. Lucky for us she incorporates books in some of her shots.

Welcome to the Flux family!

Give a one sentence synopsis of your book.
When Claire Graham’s little sister goes missing, she must search through Ella’s cryptic diary entries while sorting through her own wolf-driven delusions in order to find her.

Describe your writing process in three words.
Intense. Exploratory. Color-coded.

What is your favorite line in your book?
“Where do you begin looking for a girl made of scars and stardust?”

What was the last good book you’ve read?
INLAND by Kat Rosenfield. Unreliable narrator, gorgeous prose, creepy setting. Right up my alley!

                                   Non-book related questions

What one food could you live off of for the rest of your life?
Grilled cheese. I think I’ve eaten a grilled cheese for like 66% of the total meals in my life.

What is your go-to dance song?
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift is my newest one! Also old-school Whitney Houston and Madonna.

Do you have any pets? And, if so, can we see pictures of them?
Yes! Please say hello to Amos the pug and Cat*.
*His name is actually Ace but he only responds to “Cat.”
